Rebecca Minkoff blazer - This color is beautiful on every skin tone and works perfectly with my neutral wardrobe.

Citizens of Humanity Thompson ivory jean - The Thompson is my favorite skinny fit we carry and this ivory wash is soft without being too preppy.  

Rebecca Taylor dress - I'd wear this with booties and a different belt to edge the feminine look up a bit.  

 Rebecca Taylor sandal - The perfect neutral shoe for spring, with a platform for added comfort.

Artist in Residence

Meet A20's artist in residence, Lizzie Romanstine.  Over the past few years, many of our customers have become loyal fans of her line, Native Rainbow.  Originally hailing from South Carolina, Lizzie felt the pull of west coast sunshine and moved to pursue a degree in fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.  She made her residence in California for the next decade where she found herself inspired by the desert landscape, artwork by Georgia O'Keefe, riding her horse and her Native American heritage.  In late 2011, she decided to move cross-country to be closer to family and open an animal sanctuary.  You can now find her most days setting up shop at A20 working on everything from handmade jewelry to vibrant scarf dresses.

Prints

We are still seeing loads of colored denim for SS12 (can't wait to break out our macaron colored styles when it warms up!), so the natural progression has been to printed denim.  We are in love with vintage floral styles like this pair from Citizens of Humanity.

Staying Power

In looking for trends to incorporate into your wardrobe, it is important to find styles that have staying power. Here are some trends that you are sure to find in store now AND this coming spring.  

Fringe --  Express yourself with a high-drama fringed look or add just a subtle touch with a feminine eyelash fringe trim.  

Open Weave Knits -- Perfect for layering over maxi dresses, these lightweight sweaters will keep you warm year-round without making you too hot.  

Leopard Print -- Who doesn't love a classic leopard print?  We are seeing tons of tonal animal prints and even leopard denim.  

The Cold Shoulder -- Shoulder cut-outs are a great way to inject a little sexy edge to any look.  

Multi-Hued Sequins --  Layered sequins give a garment a luxe depth that works for day or evening.    

Pop-Colors -- Whether you wear a neon blazer or just add a little punch to an outfit with a bright handbag, this bold look has stood the test of time for several seasons now.   

Colored Denim -- Somehow outfits we've worn a zillion times seem new again by substituting a fun color for basic denim.
