Belting 101

We've noticed lately that lots of ladies are having issues with proper belting.  Proportions of clothing may seem subtle and insignificant, but something as simple as a misplaced belt can throw off an entire silhouette, rendering an otherwise attractive look distracting and unflattering.  Belting on top of the ribcage shortens your torso and looks like some sort of awkward bust sling.  A belt should sit at your natural waist, just under your rib cage to highlight the smallest part of the body and create the illusion of an hourglass figure.  As a general rule, one should cut the body into thirds at the waist and the knees - even if the cut is only implied by tailoring or by adding heels.
Have a beautiful day, fashion lovers!
