Wear This, Not That: Military Inspiration

As we always preach, life is all about fine lines and making wise - or in the case of fashion, chic - choices.  Today's case in point: military inspiration.

Wear This:

Stars give a nod to military patriotism without being too literal and will still be pretty and relevant in your wardrobe for seasons to come.

Nail colors are an easy and inexpensive way to try a trend without permanence.

Olive or khaki and black can be a super modern and chic color palette, depending on the cut of the garment.

Epaulets are a fun detail on trenches or shirt dresses that add interest, texture, and a touch of military inspiration.

Not That:

Sad, droopy camo tops are a very literal interpretation of the military trend and go a little too "Duck Dynasty" to be considered Fashion with a capital 'F'.  Besides, isn't it humorlessly ironic to serve up a military look in an over-sized bohemian shape?

Camouflage chinos are a look that has been done to death and can read young and unsophisticated.

See the difference?  By investing in lasting styles and abandoning the ephemeral, you will collect a versatile and timeless wardrobe.

Have a beautiful day!
