Holiday Wish List

We've filed lots of Holiday Wish Lists so far this year, so we figured it's time to fill out our own.
Jennifer:

Rebecca Taylor cardigan - I love a cozy grandpa sweater. This updated version from Rebecca Taylor has a shorter proportion and a tailored slouch, making it a flattering layering piece.

Vince scarf - I want to wrap up in this infinity scarf every day! The color is versatile and I love something soft and cozy around my neck in cooler weather.

Suede fringe necklace - I have a leather obsession. This handmade suede fringe necklace is a unique statement piece to update everything from a little black dress to a t-shirt and jeans.

Emerson Thorp blouse - Olive green is my favorite color of the season. This button down blouse gives a nod to the military trend while maintaining classic appeal with its tailored cut. I love the weight of the silk, too. It's luxurious yet comfortable.

Tokyo Milk Dead Sexy handcreme - This scent is warm and slightly masculine. The cedar notes remind me of a cedar closet. And who can resist packaging with a skull and flowers?

Twelfth Street LBD - This is a fabulous take on the little black dress. I would wear it to holiday parties or make it every day with an oversized cardigan and boots.

Melissa:

Rebecca Taylor tassel sweater - I can just see myself opening gifts under the tree in this sweater.
Vince dobby plaid scarf - Any time I find a fabulous scarf only to turn the tag over and see, "Made in Italy of Italian fabrics," I must purchase immediately. I'm a fabric snob; can't help it.

Balboa earrings - Designer Jane Pope represents the south well, appearing in Vogue and Lucky magazines (just to name a few). She pioneered the vintage reworked jewelry movement and her work still remains innovative. I am in love with these Asian inspired earrings. They remind me of my favorite piece of furniture at home - an antique Chinese secretary. My finacee's grandmother always said that you should have at least one piece of Chinoiserie in every room. Somehow these earrings make that notion relevant when getting dressed each morning.

French lavender sachets - Each of the sachets in this set is covered in Roberto Cavalli printed Italian silk and smells like heaven. With four, I can scatter them on shelves with my sweaters or in a lingerie drawer.

Mink Pink Goldfrapp Cape - I get asked at least once a day how to wear this wrap, to which my response is always, "how can't you wear this piece??" I would throw it on over a cocktail dress, with jeans, as a bathing suit cover up, or even as a bath robe. Love.

I am *in love* with the newest scent from Lollia. I plan on battling winter dryness by luxuriating in this bubble bath each evening.

Who Inspires You?

Melissa: Anna Dello Russo
ADR embodies everything I love in a woman. Having worked her way up to Fashion Editor at Vogue Italia and now serving as Editor-at-Large for Vogue Nippon, she is proof that a girl can be both hard working and free spirited. She shows us that the avant garde and haute couture can be wearable and fun. And for the record, I want legs like that when I grow up.

Jennifer: Kate Moss
Kate practically invented undone glamour. She's not afraid to be asymmetrical in a world of squares. The longevity of her career and the gravitas of her name prove that she is not just an icon, she's a goddess.
